Influenza is one of the most common and infectious viral disease. It is also commonly known as flu. Symptoms of flu are a running nose, coughs and fever. It is more prevalent during the cold season because of the cold. Dust is also a well-known trigger during hotter months.


Flu is an airborne disease that one can get from exposing themselves to where the virus is around. It spreads very widely and can infect a large number of people .It is passed from one person to another without the knowledge of a person.

This disease is usually common in cold seasons. It is one disease that a person can be able to control in order not to get it. Some people usually do not treat flu with the hope that it will fade away or rather cure on its own. This is due to ignorance and sometimes they do not have the time since they are always doing their daily chores and  wedding garters.

In this article we are going to discuss some of the natural ways that a person can use to avoid flu. They are simple and easy ways to apply in your daily to daily activities. There is nothing to worry about since they are affordable ways.

Getting a nap would really help. Most people do not view this tip seriously because of lack of time. The virus is inactive when one is at rest but more active when it is exposed to humid air and dust. Plenty of rest means that the body will get rest and reduce the disturbing temperature levels in the body.

When suffering from flu taking plenty of warm fluids does wonders. This can be in soup form or freshly squeezed juices. Taking of fluids also gives relief to the sufferer and greatly aids in the healing process. It helps to replenish the victim has lost through sweating and mucus production. Hot fluids are always the best.

Dressing warmly is important during the cold season. It is not a guarantee but it does help the body resist attacks and loss of body heat. It is also very comfortable to dress warmly when under influenza attack.

In case of a sour throat one can buy any medicine that is prescribed by the doctor to ease the pain. It is important that one gets to maintain proper hygiene. The kind of handkerchief one uses should be properly disposed and hence one should always have a clean one. If one is using pocket nose tissue then they should be able to dispose it properly as cold is an airborne disease.

Another method is to avoid staying in cold areas too late or avoid staying outdoors especially indoors. Smoke and dust also contribute to the irritation of the nasal cavity. This will help one avoid the furthering of the virus.

Prevention is always better than cure so take the necessary precaution to avoid getting infected if you can. Adopt the natural methods of prevention and remedies mentioned above to ease any flu symptoms that you may be experiencing.
